The Mill Spinning Process

FROM FLEECE TO YARN!

Diamond Fibres in Horam is a specialist local mill in Sussex who turn a fleece to finished yarn.

The fleeces at this mill are worsted spun which means that the fibres are kept parallel during the spinning process with the short bits being combed out (the left out wool is referred to as noil). This worsted spun process produces a yarn that is smooth, strong and has a nice lustre.
